Fillings

Treat cavities

Tackle cavities with a direct filling.

If a large cavity is not filled, it can grow and cause pain. If left untreated long enough, the tooth may need to be removed.

How are fillings done?

A local anesthetic is applied to ensure the patient doesn’t feel pain. Then, the dentist removes all decay, and uses a tooth-coloured filling material to replace tooth structure compromised by a cavity.

Direct fillings harden quickly and, in most cases, can be performed in just one appointment.
